How to create a Cross-board task dependency?

Cross-board task dependecies help us connect multiple boards through tasks.

We can do this by choosing the “Duplicated” or “Duplictaed by” option when adding a task dependency.

Once we’ve choosen this type of dependency, we then have the option to choose weather the task we want as dependet is located in the same board or not. If we want to connect our current task to an outside task, we choose “Specifc task”.

Then, we choose specific task we want connected and the board it belonges to.

Once we’ve selected both the task and the board, we add the dependency by clicking on “Create”.

Version 2.7.3

New features

Resource Management – utilization of Project resources can now be tracked through Teodesk. By uploading Project Pricelists and inputting resource spending as the project moves along, the real-time value of those resources can be tracked.

Role-based Task assigning – tasks can now be assigned to Board roles in Board templates. They are then automatically assigned to users chosen for the roles once an active Board is created.

Task Activity – in addition to Board activity, the activity log is now available at task level as well

Importing multiple Boards to a Project – multiple boards can now be uploaded from CSV. By choosing a template for these Boards, we can have multiple ready-to-use Boards added in a few clicks.

Improvements

Board Templates version control – Users are now notified before editing a Board Template that is already in use and given the option to create a new version or continue editing the old one

How to see Task activity?

Task activity can be seen in the “Task Activities” tab in the top right of the task overview.

It shows all main activities that have previously happened on a task.

How to assigne roles in Board templates?

To assigne roles in Board templates, we first have to create Board roles. They are created in the Board Members section in the top right.

In the section that opens, click on “Add new board role”.

A new field where the name of the role can be input will be opened.

Once you’re finished naming the role, click on “Create”.

Now when we create a new board from this template, we’ll have the option to assigne one of our team members as each of these roles.

By doing this, you’ll automaticly be assigning them to all tasks previously assigned to their roles.
