To create a Board Milestone enter the project and click on the Milestone icon in the top right.
A sidebar will appear. To create the Mileston, click on the “+” icon.
After clicking the “+” icon, a section where the Milestone can be named will open.
After we add the name, the Milestone can be created. Then we can start adding the tasks whose progress we want to track. The tasks are added by hovering over the created Milestone’s section and clicking on the three dots.
It’s important to remember that the percentage of milestones is not tracked cumulatively. We define which task’s completion relates to which percentage of the completion of the Milestone.
- Task 1 – marks 15% of completion
- Task 2 – adds 20% more to the completion of the Milestone and the value we enter is 35%
- Task 3 – adds 35% more to the completion of the Milestone and the value we enter is 70%
- Task 3 – adds 30% more to the completion of the Milestone and the value we enter is 100%
Once we add all the tasks we feel are relevant, we can continue tracking the Milestone’s progress.
